Kicking Ass with wild abandon: Why and how

Kicking Ass with wild abandon: Why and how
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The lion might be the king of the jungle but you never get to see a wolf performing in the circus at the whims of a ringmaster.
Both wolves and lions are wild and carnivorous. Whereas the lion symbolizes bravado and valor, we often figuratively refer to a wolf as rapacious, ferocious, or voracious person or thing. Wild animals never are peaceful and calm but it has always been the wolf who gets painted in the grey shades. As if it is a demon. Or rather an evil. And the lion walks away with all the honors.
Wolves are necessary. They hunt in a pack. There is competition and they know how to kill. Competitiveness makes them tough. And rough. For the better. What is often perceived as shrewdness of the wolf is actually an organism in a myriad food chain doing its best to survive at the top of the food chain. Even if it doesn't get the honors for what it is - it defines its category- of being wild. The largest member of the dog family can't be a pussy!
And while we discuss about the wild ones, the pet cats shouldn't celebrate either. For they might look good in their masters laps while taking orders and getting high-fives at doing stunts taught during training by their human (or humane) masters, but it is the wild ones who rule the jungle. And sooner or later, it is always about getting to rule. It is about power. Pets can't understand the thrill. They never have and they never will. Symbolism intended.
So, let us invoke the wolves in us! And make ourselves rough. And tough. Life has an uncanny knack of throwing us to the wolves to make us tough. It is our responsibility then to return leading the pack.
For once, let us defy taking orders and start kicking some ass! Let us invoke the wolves in us to run free with wild abandon.
And while we do that, let us sing along Savage Garden's 'The Animal Song' :
"I've got to break away, So take my hand now!
Cause I want to live like animals, Careless and free like animals!
I want to live... I want to run through the jungle
With wind in my hair and the sand at my feet"
